Webinar Technical Checklist Template
A pre-flight technical checklist that catches audio, video, and connectivity issues before your audience joins.
Technical failures during webinars are the most damaging problems because they are visible to every attendee simultaneously. A projector issue in a room affects one session; a webinar audio failure affects your entire audience. This checklist catches problems before go-live.
Organized into four phases — 1 week before, 1 day before, 1 hour before, and 5 minutes before — the checklist covers platform configuration, audio testing, video framing, screen sharing verification, recording setup, and backup plans. Each item has a pass/fail checkbox and a remediation step if it fails.

Tips for Using This Template
Test audio with the actual microphone and headset you will use during the webinar — built-in laptop mics produce echo and pick up typing sounds.
Close Slack, email, and all notification-generating apps before going live. A notification sound during a quiet moment is embarrassing; a screen-shared notification can be worse.
Have a second device (phone or tablet) logged into the webinar as an attendee to monitor the actual audience experience.
