Webinar Speaker Prep Template
A speaker preparation checklist that prevents technical issues and ensures confident, polished delivery.
Webinar speakers face unique challenges that in-person speakers do not: unreliable internet, audio echo, screen sharing failures, webcam angles, and the isolation of presenting to a screen without audience feedback.
This template prepares speakers for all of these challenges with a comprehensive pre-webinar checklist: technology setup and testing, content and slide preparation, rehearsal scheduling, and day-of procedures.
Send it to every speaker 2 weeks before the webinar along with a tech check scheduling link.

Tips for Using This Template
Schedule a 15-minute tech check 2-3 days before the webinar — not the day of.
Use a wired internet connection instead of Wi-Fi if possible — it is significantly more reliable.
Close all applications except the webinar platform and your slides — notifications and updates cause disruptions.
Position your webcam at eye level and ensure light comes from in front of you, not behind.
