Webinar Host Script Template
A word-for-word host script that ensures smooth webinar delivery from opening to closing.
Even experienced speakers stumble during webinars when they wing the host segments. The transition from "welcome, everyone" to "let me introduce our speaker" to "we have time for a few questions" to "thank you for joining" needs scripting — not because hosts cannot improvise, but because scripted transitions are smoother.
This template provides word-for-word scripts for every host segment: pre-show holding slide announcement, opening welcome, speaker introductions, session transitions, Q&A facilitation, and closing with call-to-action. Each script includes timing marks and cues for when to advance slides, unmute speakers, or launch polls.

Tips for Using This Template
Read the script aloud 3 times before the webinar. Written words sound different when spoken — edit for natural speech patterns.
Include timing marks in the script: "[2 min]" for the welcome, "[1 min]" for the speaker intro. This prevents the host from running over.
Script the Q&A transitions: "We have a great question from [name] who asks..." sounds more polished than "OK, um, let me find a good question here..."
