Tell the app what you're looking for and what you can offer. It shows you who you should meet, tells you why, and lets you connect — in the webMOBI Events app.
In the webMOBI Events app, open your event and tap Networking (also reachable from Find People). You need to be signed in and registered for the event.
Pick what you're looking for and what you can offer. Looking for: find customers, find partners, find investors, find vendors, find talent, learn from experts, find peers, explore new technology, meet potential employers, promote my company. Offering: product/technology, partnership, investment, expertise, services, distribution, hiring, mentorship. Add a specific ask in your own words if you like.
Your matches appear as soon as your goals are saved. Each one shows how good a fit it is — Strong, Good, or Fit — and a plain sentence explaining the reason, written from your point of view (for example: “They are hiring, which meets your need to find a new role”). There are no scores or percentages, on purpose.
Tap Connect on a match to send a request, with an optional message. The other person sees it as pending and can accept or decline. If you both send a request to each other, you're connected straight away.
Not interested? Choose Not interested and that person stops being recommended. You can also block someone — they won't be able to request you or appear in your recommendations. Your connections live under Connections.
Only people registered for the same event can see your networking card, and it shows your name, role, company, headline, interests and what you're looking for — never your email or phone number. Set visibility to Nobody in your networking profile to be hidden from the directory and from matching.
Some profile fields are filled in from your registration or inferred by the app. Each one is labelled — From registration, You said, or AI inferred · Confirm — so you can see where it came from and confirm or change it.
Every recommendation shows the actual reason: a need of yours someone can meet, a need of theirs you can meet, a problem you share, or an expertise you asked to learn from. If there's nothing true to say, the app says nothing rather than filling the space.
Matches are built from your goals. Until you've chosen at least what you're looking for, there's nothing to match on. Set your goals and your matches appear immediately — you don't need to wait for anyone else.
Very few attendees have set their goals yet, so there isn't enough to recommend from. The screen shows real counts of who has completed a profile so far. Your goals are saved; check back as more people join.
Matches only include people whose goals complement or overlap yours enough to be worth your time; weaker pairings aren't shown. Use Find People to browse the full attendee directory instead.
Not yet. Networking is available to attendees who are signed in to the app. If you registered by email only, create an account with the same email address and your registration is linked.
Not in this version. Connect sends a plain request with your own optional message. Meeting scheduling and suggested messages are on the roadmap.
For organisers: Networking is an add-on
Networking isn't switched on by default. If you'd like it for your event, contact support and we'll enable it for your registrants. Attendees then see Networking in the app and choose their own goals and visibility.
